Dr. Don Pearl, director of the Center for Academic Success, recaps the second year of reading day study sessions. This year CAS provide sessions for calculus, linear algebra, introductory physics, introductory chemistry and organic chemistry. Nearly 700 students attended.

For the second year in a row, the Center for Serve-Learn-Sustain is hosting this satellite conference as part of the NSF-sponsored Integrated Network for Social Sustainability (INSS).

Service Anniversary Awards
Last month, 274 employees were honored for their years of service to Georgia Tech at the beautiful Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel for a special luncheon. 227 employees celebrated their 10-year work anniversary with the Institute and 47 celebrated 25 years. President G. P. "Bud" Peterson, Provost Rafael L. Bras, and AVP of Human Resources, Kim Harrington, recognized the employees' nearly 3,500 combined years of service to Georgia Tech. Two OUE colleagues were recognized at the event:

Mysty Connelly's New Role/Title in OUE
Mysty recently has a new role in OVPUE,
"Asst.
Director for Administrative Operations". Over the past five years OUE has grown in size and scope, and so has Mysty's responsibilities. The new role will better reflect the broad range of financial and administrative leadership that Mysty provides
and will also establish some new areas of responsibility for her within OUE.

Recha Reid's New Position
Recha Reid, formerly of the Center for Academic Enrichment, has started a new position in the School of Public Policy's Center for Advanced Communications Policy as their Administrative Manager. Thank you, Recha, for all of your hard work for CAE (and OUE) over the past few years!
