CAMPUS NEWS
The Georgia Tech Counseling Center and the Division of Student Life are leading a new plan in suicide prevention, Tech Ends Suicide Together, a bold plan based on an international initiative that represents a paradigm shift from suicide prevention to suicide elimination. Working in close collaboration and cooperation with campus colleagues, students, and the entire Georgia Tech community, Tech Ends Suicide Together represents both an aspirational goal and a call to action to create a campus-wide linkage of programs and support that work together to end suicide at Georgia Tech.

Georgia Tech is one of the first colleges/universities in the United States to implement a zero suicide initiative on campus. Learn more about how you can get involved HERE

Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

Georgia Tech, in collaboration with the University System of Georgia, has developed an approach to new Fair Labor Standards Act federal regulatory changes.

If you have questions about what FLSA is and how the changes may or may not affect you, OHR has several resources available to help. They've provided a video (click the image to watch) that gives an overview of FLSA and why the changes are being made.

They've also made workshops available - with separate options for employees and managers - that can help clarify any other questions you might have. You can find the available workshops HERE.
