On Jan. 9, Norfolk Collegiate presents the first lecture in the Betty M. & William B. Jones Humanities Speaker Series: War & Remembrance. This trio of presentations and art exhibition are inspired by historical anniversaries and how survivors have produced memorials, weaving war and remembrance into the fabric of our society. Read more 
Up, up & away! Weather balloon released
It began as a classroom lesson and resulted in a hands-on experience - the release of an eight-foot weather balloon! Before the big day, fifth-grade science club members worked hard behind the scenes learning how to measure the balloon's projected path, its ascent and more.  Read more

Whether trying to defeat an opponent or leading a team to success, being an athlete and a coach is about determination. For junior Chad Bullock and Coach Lonice Kenley, determination, among other things, is the reason they are the Athlete and Coach of the Month, respectively.  Read more
