Oct 17: Springfield Healthy Homes Communications Workgroup Meeting
This month's Springfield Healthy Homes meeting will focus on communications planning around Healthy Homes, Lead Poisoning Prevention, Ener-g-save and other opportunities. We will update the communications plan and create a timeline for the upcoming year.

City of Springfield Office of Housing, 1600 East Columbus Avenue, Springfield, MA

There is a parking garage next to the building (~$3.00 for 2hours), a dirt lot on West Columbus ($5.00/day), and metered street parking. Due to all of the construction downtown, we recommend that you save some extra time to find parking.

Testimony on Housing Code Updates
The Department of Public Health has closed its input period for the updates of the Sanitary Code related to housing (105 CMR 410.000: Minimum Standards of Fitness for Human Habitation. Testimony was provided by the Pioneer Valley Asthma Coalition and Health Resources In Action, along with 10 organizations.

Lead-Safe Worker and Supervisor Training , Starting October 19, 2017
Free four-day training for Certified Lead Safe Workers (24 hours) and Supervisors (32 hours) for contractors and tradespeople who fit federal income guidelines. For more information, contact Nigel Greaves from the Springfield Office of Housing at 413-886-5050.
