Hurricane Irma and IRCC
PRIDE
I would like to extend a huge thanks to the IRCC community.  In preparation of Hurricane Irma, the IRCC Maintenance Shutter Teams, staff, and residents all came together to ensure that we would be prepared and ready for whatever the storm would bring. "Team IRCC" showed its true colors.  Thanks to all of the IRCC staff that truly "served those who served".  Of the core principles that bind us, those that stand out from our response to Irma are:
* All for one and one for all - we are bound to one another through loyalty, respect,  and accountability.
* Active participants - we actively participate in life whether it is through recreation, education, traditions, or community service.
* No one left behind - we are dedicated to looking out for our family, friends, and neighbors no matter what the circumstances.

We should be proud of ourselves and proud of our community.  Together WE all make IRCC a unique and great place to call home and, possibly, the best active 55+ community in the country.
George Cusimano,
IRCC Chairman of the Board
IRCC Maintenance Shutter Teams worked in full force to ready IRCC for the storm and whatever she would bring.

Deb Zeckser, Admin in our Four Star Real Estate office, along with a couple of residents, did their good deed by saving this nice Bass and placing him back in the lake on Frontier drive when it became displaced during the hurricane.

The aftermath of Irma left us with a remarkable amount of debris. Our maintenance crews have been hard at work to clean it up from all around our community!

IRCC Foundation Makes a Donation to Veterans Memorial Centerthree
The IRCC Foundation presented a donation in the amount of $1,000 to the Veterans Memorial Center (VMC) Crisis Fund, providing help for
veterans in need. The funds hit just at the right time as VMC was out of emergency funds. There was great joy and thanks for our small donation.

Accepting the donation was Dean Schaaf, President of the VMC and Ted Schmid, Treasurer.
The Cart Barn Players theater  group of IRCC are ready for their big presentation in Colony Hall.  Suite Surrender is a micro musical farce by Michael McKever and directed by our own, Luanne Faulkender.  Sure to be a sell out, our members will enjoy matinees and dinner shows during 3 days of performances.
Just for Fun.. "Snap Shots"
Deep Water
-By Bob Faulkender
The kitchen is common living area in most homes -- or so he believed. However, today an increasingly common event stops him. Mixing bowls completely clutter counter tops. Open boxes populate the flour-spattered kitchen table. Measuring cups and empty jars and every spatula in the house clutter both sinks. A man can't even make a peanut butter sandwich without major room straightening. It took an hour of clean-up just to find the bread.
Yelling from the kitchen broke his concentration at the computer. He did not respond. A good time to keep your mouth shut is when you're in deep water.
