Honduras Partnership - TRIP APPROVED!
Your Maine Honduras Partnership Resource Team is setting up a combo work and medical mission trip that will go from Tuesday, January 30th to Thursday, Feb. 8th, 2018. These dates are firm! We will go to the Evangelical and Reform Church of Honduras Clinic in Subirana, Yoro. This visit with our Honduran sisters and brothers in Christ has been approved by the Governing Board(Junta) of the Iglesia Evangelica y Reformada.  We will advertise the details in the next week or two here in the Maine Conference Weekly Newsletter and on our Facebook page! We will want to know to who is going by the end of October so we can do some group community building and resource sharing! More soon!

Katahdin Association Fall Meeting
The Association will gather at noon on Saturday October 28th at Hammond Street Congregational UCC in Bangor.  
   
Living Water Association Fall Meeting
Will be held Sunday, November 5th beginning at 2:30pm at Old South in Farmington.
 
York Association Fall Meeting
Will take place on Sunday, November 5th at 3pm at the West Newfield Church.
 
The Fifth Annual COMMUNITIES CARE DAY,
sponsored by eight area churches is to take place on Monday October 9, 2017 from 8:30AM to 1:00PM at the North Parish UCC Church, 895 Main Street, in Sanford.

Casco Bay Crop Walk
Walk date: Sunday, October 15, 2017
Goal: $15,000 with as many walkers and congregations as possible.
Walk Info: This is a find raising walk with 20 -25% of the pledges going to local agencies and 75-80% going to Church World Service (CWS) to end global hunger. The local agencies are Project Feed, South Portland Food Cupboard and Wayside Food Programs.

Raymond Village Community Church Concert
This event will be on Friday, October 27th beginning at 7:30pm. Featuring Celtic and Acadian Music with Four on the Floor.

Monroe Community Church Fall Fair
The event will be held on Saturday, October 28th from 9am to 1pm at the Monroe Church.

Public Bean Hole Bean Supper
The Blue Point Church in Scarborough will host a Public Supper on Saturday, October 28th  from 4:30 - 6pm at 236 Pine Point Road in Scarborough. There is a cost to attend.

Concert & Supper to Celebrate the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation
On Sunday, October 29, historic Christ Church at 6 Dane Street in Kennebunk, Maine, will present a concert and bratwurst supper to celebrate the 500 th anniversary of Martin Luther's historic act that set in motion the Protestant Reformation, by openly challenging the Roman Catholic Church hierarchy on Scripture interpretation, publicly posting his 95 Theses on October 31, 1517. He was the first to translate the Bible from Latin into the vernacular language of his people so they could read and interpret it for themselves.  Read more
