We have some important events coming up in the next few weeks.  On October 28 we are having our annual fundraiser, Autumn on the River/Fly Fishing Film Tour.  In addition to showing some of the best films from the Fly Fishing Film Tour, we will be auctioning lots of fly fishing equipment and a number of exciting guided trips to local fishing destinations. Our sponsors include The Atlanta Fly Fishing School, Blackhawk, Fly Box Outfitters, Fern Valley on the Soque, Orvis, Kevin Arculeo, Hal Coleman, River Through Atlanta, Patagonia, Oyster Bamboo, Walters Fly Rods, and Unicoi Outfitters.  With the famous Henry Cowen as auctioneer, it should be...unpredictable but a lot of fun!  Included with your ticket are pizza and salad bar, two drinks and eligibility for a number of great door prizes.  Please join us for a night of fun:  no business meeting or speaker - just eating, drinking, viewing films, auctioning and mingling with your UCCTU friends.

We don't often have a November meeting, but this year on November 10 we will have a special joint meeting with the Georgia Women Fly Fishers at Ippolito's.  This will give us an opportunity to learn about each other's events and activities, and will hopefully lead to more collaboration between our organizations.  It will also be our only opportunity to hear from the DNR about the proposal to keep more Georgia streams open to fishing year-round before the deadline for public feedback closes.  Please join us for our last meeting of 2014.
