Help Homeless Youth
YouthCare

Date/Time: Donations can be delivered Monday through Friday 9am - 5pm

Location: 2500 NE 54th St., Seattle

It's hard for most of us to imagine carrying all of our belongings - from hygiene supplies to clothing and shoes - on our back. Homeless youth face this challenge on a daily basis. You and your family can help by donating backpacks and the supplies needed to fill them. Or you can help spread the word and raise awareness about the issue of youth homelessness by doing a drive for needed items, which is a great way to help youth get the items they need to get off the streets and prepare for life. This is also a great opportunity to start a conversation in your family and community about what it would feel like to be homeless (i.e. why are socks so important?) Your support makes a big difference!
Their most current and urgent needs are:
  • New underwear and boxers
  • New socks
  • Hooded sweatshirts
  • Rain-proof jackets
  • Gloves and Hot Hands hand warmers
  • First Aid supplies (such as Ace bandages, etc.)
  • Hygiene supplies
  • Gift cards (Target, Fred Meyer, Amazon.com, etc.)
Ages: Everyone can participate

Time Commitment: Varies
