13 Tips for Keeping Your Teen Safe This Halloween

Over the years, your cute trick-or-treater grew to value these traditions. Now that s/he is a developing teenager s/he has different ideas on how to celebrate Halloween.

Finding the right balance of parental involvement can be a delicate skill to master. Especially, when teenagers appear to be coded with their own set of unique needs and safety concerns.

Here are a few tips:
  • Review and obey the laws, such as private property, town curfews, alcohol and underage drinking laws, and house rules.
  • Recruit them to hand out treats.
  • Track their texts, Social Media posts and monitor their cell phone activity.
  • Honor curfews.
