Filling Learners' Tummies with Growing Food
Story from Midway Elementary School
Midway Elementary School set out to create an environment in their school community that recognized and practiced healthy choices, focused around healthy eating and nutrition. They developed various ways to engage students, staff, families and community members to make healthier choices, including teaching students about the food groups, using newsletters and events at school to educate parents, having healthy cooking classes and offering healthy snacks during their breakfast program, morning snack time and various school events, and providing students with healthy food. Click here to learn more.
