Huddle & Event Celebrations

New Huddle:  North Houston (The Woodlands), TX
Welcome new huddle leader, Sarah Hankla!  Sarah has launched the North Houston (The Woodlands) Huddle.  They have held their kick-off meeting and begun a Bible study.   The North Houston huddle joins the Kingswood Huddle, lead by John Hensley, to impact the Houston area for Christ.  Please join us in welcoming Sara and praying for FCA Endurance's impact in the Houston area.
Space Coast, FL Huddle:
Florida's Space Coast Huddle (Melbourne)  was present at one of the largest 5K races  on the east coast of FL.  Approximately 2,400 participants were on hand.  The huddle held a  pre-race prayer, and FCA Endurance was well represented in the race.  Amongst the team, there were 3 individuals with top 4 finishes!  They also had a great opportunity to fellowship with others in the community after the race.

The huddle is striving  to meet at different locations on a regular basis in order to experience a variety of God's creation.  Their September Huddle Meeting was held at a local beach where they discussed how running on the hard or soft sand of the beach relates to doing life with or without Christ.  The devo was followed by a time of prayer and a 30 min run on the beach.  It was a great time of fellowship, encouragement, sharpening, and enjoying God's great creation!  All glory to God!   Thanks to Josh Broline for his faithful leadership of this group.
Montgomery County Endurance Camp:
Huddle  Leader & FCA staffer Nate Timm started the cross country season off Undefeated for local 6t h-12 th grade runners.  Montgomery County FCA hosted their second annual week long, half-day camp to help cross country runners prepare for the season.  In addition to training, ca mpers learned how to be undefeated in Christ.  30 stude nt runners were impacted for Christ through this camp.  As an added bonus,  a few schools now have new campus huddles as a result of this camp.
Iron Prayer Chattanooga Praise Report:
Approximately 40 athletes, family members, and friends were blessed with the opportunity to praise God through worship and prayer in preparation for Ironman Chattanooga.  Local FCA staff, Jay Fowler opened the time with a welcome and introductions followed by worship from Ken Powell.  Inspiring messages and testimonies were shared by three IMCHOO participants: University of Tennessee Wrestling Head Coach, Health Eslinger, FCA staffer and SW Virginia Endurance Huddle Leader, Mark Long and FCA Endurance Teammate & Georgetown Tri Club member, Chad Moore of Austin,TX.  Jay Fowler closed by praying over the 20 athletes who were competing in the Ironman that weekend.  Mark Long commented that, "It was an uplifting time  for all allowing us to focus on God, surre nder to Him and race for His glory.  We all felt God's power and Chattanooga Strong!"
