October 2016
Dear Families,
As we wrap up the fall season, we want to thank each and everyone of you who have given your time, prayers and other support to make this program the success that it is. Our teams are not just athletes and coaches; they are the fans, families and volunteers that help create the TKA spirit! The Booster Club is proud of all of our athletes and for the faithful and loving community who believe in them!
**Please help us congratulate the Varsity Cheerleaders who placed 2nd in the SCISA Game Time Dance at the Forest Acres Cheer Cup Camp on Saturday!**

What does "Lion Pride" stand for?
|
|
"E" Excellence -
should be reflected in everything we do! Excellence is not a goal but is actually the result of putting our other core values into practice. As we practice lives of character, the result is excellence.

Coach Bio: Karen Holmes
I am the Director of Admissions and College Counseling as well as the Head Cheerleader Coach. Cheerleading has always been my favorite sport. I cheered for 5 years and became a UCA All Star performing in the 1998 DIsney World Thanksgiving Day Parade. I was not able to cheer my senior year because my school closed. I believe this made me miss the sport even more. So three years ago, as a newlywed, I felt led to get involved with the sport again and be a mentor to our younger students. What began as a volunteer opportunity led to coaching for JV. The following year I coached JV and Varsity and SURPRISE, a little baby boy on the way! To add to the excitement, JV won 2 State titles! Scaling back, I still coach with my little boy in tow, but only Varsity. It has been a fun and exciting ride with these girls. Their enthusiasm is contagious and their hearts are so sweet. While Zane is my baby boy, I have a whole lot of baby girls!
