Don't be a Turkey... Go Green!
| |
Millions of Americans will deep-fry their turkeys this Thanksgiving, and while most swear it's the best turkey ever, cleaning up can be troublesome. RECYCLE IT!
The City of Largo is encouraging citizens to recycle vegetable oil waste, including used cooking oil from their turkey deep fryers. Here's how:
- Pour cooled fats, oil and grease into the original container, or can with a tight fitting lid.
- Bring your cooking oil to the Cooking Oil Collection Site located at: Starkey Recycling Center, 5165 Starkey Road, Largo.
- Remove cover of Cooking Oil Collection Tank, pour the cooking oil into the tank, replace cover.
- Bring your empty container home for future recycling.
