We have some exciting announcements for this month, so please read this entire message so you don't miss out. First and foremost...
***SAVE THE DATE*** Our next performance opportunity, the much-anticipated Winter Concert, date has been set! Please mark your calendars for SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15th, and keep an eye out for the official announcement/info sheet, which instructors will be passing out to all students shortly. The concert will again be at the Bothwell Arts Center. |

Join our first ever caroling group!
Do you love to sing? Are you filled with holiday joy? If you answered yes to any of the above, then YOU are the perfect candidate for our new group singing workshop.
Our caroling brigade will be led by voice instructor Judy Cruces. This group singing opportunity is for anyone - regardless of age or singing experience. Repeat - you do NOT need to be a voice student to join in the fun. Bring the whole family to help us spread holiday cheer, far and near!
The class will be focused on learning both classic and modern holiday repertoire in preparation for an official performance at our Winter Concert, as well as possible other impromptu public appearances.
Quick details: Saturdays, November 9th to December 14th. $5 per student per class, 4pm to 4:45pm. Please RSVP to [email protected]

It is our pleasure to honor one of our many adult music students as Student of the Month for October! Jamie originally came to Music Time with an interest in musical theater, which she has continued to pursue though participating in a local production of Cinderella. Not simply involved in stage performances, Jamie had a standout appearance at our recent showcase at Bombay Nick's Chai Bar earlier this month. Not only a singer, but also a songwriter, Jamie performed one of her original songs, "Moon Song" alongside her instructor, Tim (guitar).  Teacher Feature
For October, we would like to feature a welcome new addition to the guitar teaching staff - Nick Montes.
A young, professional guitarist, Nick Montes has over a decade of performance and educational experience. He recently returned home to the Bay Area from Hollywood after an intense course of study at the highly-regarded and competitive Guitar Institute of Technology at Musicians Institute. During his studies at MI, Nick had a unique opportunity to focus on music theory, performance, and composition under many professional studio session and touring musicians, including Scott Henderson, Carl Verheyen, Allen Hinds, Sid Jacobs, Keith Wyatt and Ross Bolton.
Prior to attending the Musician's Institute, Nick was a student at Diablo Valley College, mentored by both Steve Sage and Patrick Bradley, two of the area's most well known educators. As a performer, Nick has played lead guitar with numerous Blues, Country, Rock, R&B and Funk bands, including Go Kart Mozart and Jump Back. He continues to perform and record, in addition to teach music to both children and adults. Nick is currently our group guitar instructor for the after-school program at Arroyo Seco Elementary, and is also available for private guitar lessons at Music Time Academy on Tuesdays.
