National Friends of the Library Week
& Personalized Brick Fundraiser
October 15-21
October 15-21, 2017 is National Friends of the Library Week during which we celebrate the Friends of Collegedale Public Library! They are wonderful Library supporters whose membership dues and fundraising efforts have helped provide many benefits for the Library and our patrons, including Rosetta Stone online language learning program and Tennessee READS/OverDrive for eBooks.  Friends also volunteer their time with help "on the ground" -- such as the over 20 Friends who manned our Summer Reading Program table during June and July --and host events such as semiannual Used Book Sales, Local Author visits, Open House & Little Free Library ribbon cutting. There are currently 38 members.  There will be a Friends Board meeting on Tuesday October 17 at 3:30 which all Friends members or prospective members are welcome to attend.  October is a great time to Become a Friend for 2018! Membership levels begin at $10 and registration brochures are available at the Library.
Also, we are close to having enough brick requests to make another order. Each brick is $25. If you'd like to have your memorial brick made soon, stop by the Library to get a form!
