Lab Solutions
Complete Cloud-based Lab Solution
SUCCESS

1st semester of integrating  National CyberWatch Center and InfoSec's turnkey Lab Solution  has proven it's success!

Here's what faculty have to say...

"I've adopted the Infosec Learning labs for my Ethical Hacking course this semester. I'm three weeks into the course and I'm already getting rave reviews from my students. They love that they can access the labs anytime, anywhere -  from a web browser, and I love that the labs only require HTML5. The step-by-step labs are easy to follow and the LMS-integration makes access as simple as clicking on a link. This means I can focus on delivering content and teaching, rather than troubleshooting lab and access issues."  Mike Qaissaunee,  Brookdale Community College

"Infosec Virtual Labs are an effective solution for moving my cybersecurity live demos from traditional to online classes." -  Bernardo Palazzi,  Brown University

Here's what students have to say...

"The lab is my favorite part of this class. The actual hands on experience was great."

"I actually really enjoyed the hands-on approach provided by the lab. I really like the VM aspect and how we could switch between one OS and the other."

"I enjoyed the lab environment. The hands-on aspect was really great...especially learning about the hacking process."
This solution will solve your problems...
  • Completely hosted environment, all HTML 5, no plug-ins needed
  • No up front costs or set up fees, we simply sell access codes

Fourth Annual Community College Cyber Summit

Washington, D.C.
2016's Community College Cyber Summit (3CS)

From far and away they came to share, discuss and learn about the most important cybersecurity issues, making the third annual Community College Cyber Summit (3CS) a rousing success.

This year the Summit was held July 22 to 24 on the spectacular campus of Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. And no one was left out. There were sessions for students, instructors and those in the technology industry from around the country.

A unique aspect of this year's Summit was the usage of the EduPlus app, which provided a networking feature, campus maps and the most updated room changes. The keynote speaker was Peter Romness, Cisco solutions lead for the U.S. Public Sector. He emphasized the importance of making cybersecurity information available to people who are not in the industry, among other issues. Before the sessions began, Dr. Vera Zdravkovich, retired vice president of Academic Affairs at Prince George's Community College and founding director of CyberWatch, was honored with the 3CS Lifetime Achievement Award for her years of leadership in cybersecurity education.

Soon thereafter, the sessions began. They included "Becoming the Enemy: Understanding How Hackers Work," "Orientation to Careers in Cybersecurity," "Co-op and Internship Opportunities for Community College Students," "Cybercrimes 101," and "Curriculum Pathways for Cybersecurity and Cyber Intelligence Education," which is just a sample from the three-day event.

Increased attendance saw educators and students mesh well together and bridge gaps to learn about the latest technologies, best practices and curricula. With so much success, planning for the next Summit is going to be even more fun.
