Our vision is to have a community where no kittens are born wild on the street, no cat  capable of living in a home is lacking one, and no feral cats are wanting for food, water,  and appropriate care and concern.

SAFCC awarded grant for Trapper Team!

Thank you to the San Antonio Area Foundation for awarding us a $25,000 grant for our Trapper Team program! A team of veteran trappers will trap for the elderly or disabled and be able to do mass-trappings for large colonies, such as apartment complexes and mobile home communities. We have needed this for a long time so m any thanks to the San Antonio Area Foundation!

The  grant does not start until January 2017, so stay tuned for more info as we will be recruiting trappers for all quadrants of San Antonio.

National Feral Cat Day 2016!

We were able to treat our core volunteers to a free lunch at Incredible Pizza as a thank you for all they have done to help us this year, and recognize our volunteers who have gone above and beyond!

Mayor Taylor signed a proclamation making October 16th NFCD in San Antonio.

S.A. Humane Society and the Animal Defense League helped trappers with special rates in honor of National Feral Cat Day. We hope you were able to take advantage!

TX Dogs & Cats magazine featured an article on what we do. View the article HERE.

SAFCC at Bark in the Park

SAFCC had another "fun in the sun" event at Bark in the Park. We always love to add some "MEOW" to Bark in the Park events!

SAFCC has many fun tabling events during the spring and fall. We never want to turn down an invite to share our message about what we do. Volunteers are an essential part of being able to to this! If you have attended our TNR class and would like to represent SAFCC at these events as a volunteer, please email HERE.
Congratulations to Proctor Award recipient, Chris Bigelow!

At the National Feral Cat Day luncheon, Chris Bigelow was awarded the Proctor Award for his support of SAFCC's mission with trapping, rescuing, fostering, feeding, educating and advocacy. Chris has been doing TNR since October, 2009. He has fixed over 170 cats and is one of the veteran trappers on SAFCC's Trapper Team.

Thank you, Chris, for all you do for us and our community cats! Well deserved!

This #GivingTuesday, think of SAFCC

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving celebrated on November 29, the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This year, join the movement and give - whether it's some of your time, a donation, or the power of your voice communicating what SAFCC does in your local community. When you give this #GivingTuesday, please think of the San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition and our work in support of community cats. On November 29, click HERE to support SAFCC.

Support us every Third Thursday at California Pizza Kitchen

Join us on November 17 for a great meal while fundraising for the San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition. Present this FLYER when you dine in or take-out and 20% of your bill will be donated to SAFCC.

With two convenient locations, which one is closer to you?  California Pizza Kitchen (Huebner Oaks) or California Pizza Kitchen (Quarry)

This fundraiser occurs every Third Thursday at both California Pizza Kitchen locations. Enjoy a healthy meal while helping our community cats stay healthy!
Tails of Success

Here's a "tail" of tragedy turned to triumph! In July, SAFCC volunteers received a call for help about a 3-day old lone survivor of a litter of kittens that had been attacked by a dog. Bottle babies are hard to care for but an SAFCC volunteer agreed to take the baby, now named Antonio. Antonio did so well and even welcomed another lone bottle baby the foster took in at a later date.

This month, Antonio finally got adopted! Here's a pic of him when we first received him and now with his new mommy, Felice! We are thankful to Felice for thinking of SAFCC when she was ready to adopt! Congrats, Antonio!
