OCTOBER NEWS
October / 2 / 2017
Dear Forest Hills Family and Friends,

As you are aware, we have been very busy investing in our community -- both within Forest Hills and Forest Side, and within our larger community. Between expanding our assisted living services at Forest Hills and our new adult day care program at Forest Side, we are excited about the expanded reach in service to our mission.

In the meantime, we are keeping ourselves busy with "business as usual" in our Life Enrichment Programming, thanks to our incredible staff. Coming up this month we're looking forward to seeing our young friends from the Maret School for some Halloween celebrating, and welcoming back Joey Manlapaz for her monthly arts lecture and workshop. Read on in this newsletter for more details on upcoming life enrichment programs.

As always, it is my privilege to serve you and family members here at Forest Hills. Please do not hesitate to let me know whenever I can be of assistance to you.

Warm regards,

Mary Savoy, RN, MS, LNHA

August 2017 Ceca Award Winner
Janara McNeill

Congratulations to Janara McNeill on winning the August 2017 Ceca Award! Last month we celebrated the award at Forest Hills with some of the nice things people had to say:

"Janara goes the extra mile to make sure the residents are satisfied. She shows kindness with a smile. When one particular resident came late at meal time, Janara showed patience and compassion. She was also very accommodating. Janara took time from her busy schedule and offered to take the resident's meal to the room for her. She also makes sure that all supplies and requests for condiments are fulfilled. Such a kindhearted person to work with."

"Janara is very kind. She is respectful to everyone in the facility. She is especially caring about the resident. She takes the time to talk and listen to the residents whenever they want to talk about a point in their past life. I think Janara is very deserving of the Ceca Award. "

Thank you, Janara, for all you do for our residents and our community!
