Five Minnesota Oncology Physicians Named Rising Stars by Mpls-St. Paul Magazine
Five Minnesota Oncology doctors are physicians to watch, according to Mpls.St.Paul Magazine.
In the October issue, the magazine released the inaugural edition of Twin Cities' Top Doctors-Rising Stars, which recognizes five Minnesota Oncology physicians. To be selected for inclusion the list, the doctors must have been practicing for 10 years or less. Each physician named to the list was chosen by their peers in the field.

MN Oncology Welcomes New Advanced Practice Providers
Two new Advanced Practice Providers recently joined the Minnesota Oncology team:
Stephanie Johnson, PA-C, joined our Minneapolis Clinic last month. Her areas of special interest are lung cancer, prostate cancer, and leukemia. "Each day brings different challenges in healthcare," Johnson says. "Focusing on the needs and concerns of the patient is priority. Understanding that one will never know everything but can always learn something new has made me the provider I am today."

Bruce Anderson, RN, RNCS, CNP, is a new palliative care specialist at Minnesota Oncology. He will be working with patients at our Burnsville, Edina, Maplewood Cancer Center, and Woodbury locations. "It is a great privilege to be in a position to help people during a difficult time in their lives," Anderson says. "Illness and recovery are very personal and significant events, and being allowed to share in those times is an honor." |

New Pharmacy Manager Joins Minnesota Oncology
Minnesota Oncology is pleased to welcome Brian Meger, Pharm. D., as the new manager of Minnesota Oncology's pharmacy services, including the full-service on-site pharmacy at the Maplewood Cancer Center.
Meger brings a retail pharmacy background to Minnesota Oncology, having spent his career as a pharmacy manager for Cub Foods and Walgreens. He received his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Minnesota - Duluth.
"I am looking forward to the new challenges that this job is going to bring," Meger said. "The field of oncology is constantly changing" he explained. "There are always new drugs and therapies coming out."
