Autumnal blessings are falling on us -- the resident monastic at SRF Greenfield Retreat, Brahmacharini Alison, will be leading our morning services the first Sunday this month, October 2nd.  Please join us and invite a friend or family member who might be interested in SRF and Yogananda.

Our social this month is the same day.  Brahmacharini Alison will help us celebrate and thank our wonderful and dedicated volunteers with a special program.  Lunch will be provided by the Center.  

On Saturday, November 12th, we will have a special dinner and wonderful concert featuring recording artist Joni Bishop to raise funds for our building fund.  Tickets are available online.

SRF Greenfield Retreat has a one-day mens' retreat and 4-day womens' Kriyaban retreat this month. 

Details concerning these events and our regular services during the month are provided below.

Brahmacharini Alison Leads Services and Volunteer Appreciation Social Sunday, October 2nd

We are blessed to have Brahmacharini Alison, the resident monastic at the SRF Greenfield Retreat, leading our services on this day.  She will also attend our Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon Social themed "From The Heart"  since our Center appreciates our volunteers from the heart; and  volunteers give from the heart; and are near and dear to Guruji's heart!! Lunch will be provided by the Center and all are invited to attend, even if you do not volunteer.

Building Fundraiser Saturday, November 12, "Harvest of Love"

Concert by FamedTennessee Recording Artist Joni BishopDelicious Indian food, The Nrithya Geetanjali  Indian Dancers, Adam Gattuso, Takako Mako, Dennis Murphy, Cheryl Nkeba, Raj Konar & Wayne Lavallee 

This special  event will take place on Saturday, November 12th, with doors opening at 5:30 pm.  At 6:00 pm, a delicious Indian vegetarian dinner lovingly prepared, will be served while you are being serenaded by beautiful chamber music performed by classically trained musicians.  Then at 7:15 pm, experience  the beautiful and colorful Nrithya Geetanjali Indian dancers and then famed recording artist and SRF devotee  Joni Bishop and her ensemble ,  who will perform seasonal songs that will uplift everyone's spirits.  We will end the evening with a brief meditation to honor our beloved Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda. Tickets may be purchased through the EventBrite page   or click on  Button Link below . We are hoping all can come and generate funds for our building fund. We look forward to seeing you there!  Suggested donation is $30 for adults and $10 for children, but any  amount given is acceptable.  As this is a fundraising event, we are grateful for those who can generously give larger amounts.
SRF Greenfield Retreats This Month
One Day Men's Retreat Saturday, October 15
Women's Kriyaban Retreat, October 27-30

The SRF Greenfield Retreat in Front Royal, Va, will be having a  One-Day Men's Retreat on Saturday, October 15th from 9:30 am - 5:00 pm. Please sign the sheet on the table in the foyer if you would like to attend. For the Women's Kriyaban Retreat from Friday, October 27th to Sunday October 30th, you must contact Greenfield directly.  These retreats are offered on a donation basis to all Kriyabans and Lessons students. Long Meditations This Month

We will hold a 4-hour  Meditation on Saturday,October 22nd from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. In addition, we will have 3-hour meditations every Sunday evening from 6:00-9:00 pm, except on October 9, which will be a 3-hour meditation with Kirtan from 6:00-9:30 pm. All are welcome. 

The Caring Friends Team

The "Caring Friends Team"  provides support and outreach to members who are experiencing illness, hardships and personal crisis.  For more information please contact:
