Halloween Jar Cozies by Nancy Anderson are perfect for your treats
Pumpkins by Bobbi Lewin is a lovely pattern to use up some of your stash and decorate your window.
Emma Varnam's Pumpkin Squash Hat will top off any Halloween outfit.

If you have already made any Halloween projects please share it with us on our Facebook page.

Super Size Me

Over-sized knitting and crochet are more popular than ever this year.  Hats, scarves and items for the home are all capturing this trend.  There are  so many new super chunky yarns but if you are looking to use up some of your stash why not try gathering together between 5 and 10 ends of yarn to knit or crochet.  You could create a lovely rainbow or choose shades that bring a sense of harmony to your project.
We have developed a range of Jumbo Birch knitting needles and crochet hooks especially for this trend.  The Knitting needles are available as Straight, Circular or DPNs in sizes from 20.00mm to 35.00mm depending on the type. The Jumbo crochet hook starts at size 20.00mm to 35.00mm. The birch wood used is super smooth to help you have fun with your project, which will be completed in a flash.
Christmas List

With just over 10 weeks until Christmas we have been looking at our list of Christmas gift knitting and checking it twice. Where has the time gone and how will we get them all completed?  Way back in August, a new waistcoat for Uncle George seemed such a good idea but now the pack of 4 ply yarn is a bit scary.

We thought we would offer you a few tips on how to tame your gift projects if, like us, you are running out of knitting or crocheting hours.

Choose smaller projects but use bigger yarns.  There are so many great patterns for chunky or super chunky accessories or home wares that you can practically knit in an evening.

If there is someone you really want to make something special for but you don't want to rush it, give them an IOU in a card.  Then you can choose the yarn and pattern together and be sue they will really love what you make them.

Edit your list.  Will your friend really appreciate a beautifully crafted hat or would she appreciate some delicious chocolates just as much. We all have such good intentions but now is the time to be realistic.

Most important of all choose projects you will enjoy knitting or crocheting so that your Christmas Spirit doesn't run out wrestling with an impossible pattern before the big day comes round.
