USGA Women's State Team Championship

The 2017 USGA Women's State Team Championship is underway in its final year.  The sky's have opened up today causing a rain delay and incompletion of round 2; which will resume tomorrow.  Representing the great state of South Carolina is Captain Dawn Woodard, Lea Venable, Mary Chandler Bryan.  The format is best two out of 3 scores for each day. Woodard and Bryan kept it around par for the first round.  Woodard posted 6 birdies, 5 bogies, and a double to post a one over 73.  Bryan had 2 birdies and 4 bogies to card a two over 74.  Venable had 1 birdie in round 1 to shoot 84.

With over half of the field done with round 2, South Carolina sits T10 with North Carolina and 2 shots ahead of Georgia.  The completion of round 2 will begin in the morning, on Thursday, and then straight into the final round.  Only 9 shots out of first and 6 shots out of top 5, anything can happen.  To follow the action on line please click the link below.
