Help support the library by shopping at the Annual Friends of Patterson Library Book Sale. We have thousands of great books, DVDs, CDs and specialty items available at bargain prices! Books are categorized and sorted for easy browsing. Find great deals on items for adults, kids and teens!

Holiday Vendor Fair

Friday, October 21
6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Bring a friend and join us for a fun night of shopping, refreshments, great raffle prizes, author meet-and-greets, and more at our Annual Holiday Vendor Fair. An amazing assortment of gourmet products, jewelry, art, accessories, cosmetics, kitchenware, signed books and one-of-a-kind crafts will be available from local merchants and artists with cash and carry items. Niese's Maple Farm, The Blue Olive, Good Tidings Gift Shop, Pampered Chef, and Scrollsaw Artistry are just a few of the wonderful vendors participating in this year's fair.

Friends of the Great Swamp Quilt On Display Through October
 
Stop by the library to see the beautiful quilt commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the FrOGS. Designed and created by board members Nancy Clark, Beth Herr, Edie Keasbey and Judy Kelley-Moberg, the quilt depicts 12 examples of native life which are dependent on the swamp and the surrounding wetland in order to grow and thrive. It will be on display in various locations throughout the county.

Delve into the tiny world of miniatures in this hands-on mini-craft program. You will create your own display piece and hear interesting facts and tips about creating and collecting these tiny treasures from miniaturists Debbie Colombo and Bernadette Shustak.

The Blue Olive:

KIDS' PROGRAMS
St. James Theater Kids Musical Revue

Get ready to enjoy a fantastic performance by the St. James Theater Kids as they perform Grunch the Musical. This musical is about a grumpy 6th grader who feels like an outsider. When the entire school gets excited about the school musical he sets a plan to sabotage the show. But will the spirit of theater prevail?                                         
Lego Club

Kids in grades K and up, use our LEGOs to show off your incredible imagination and building skills by tackling our monthly theme, or a theme of your own. We have a limited number of base plates, so if you can bring your own to use, that would be great! LEGO creations will be displayed in the Family Center! 
Monster Bash Halloween Party

Kids in grades K and up, come dressed up for the Halloween extravaganza at the Patterson Library. We will have creepy snacks, prizes for disguises, awesome crafts, and spine tingling games!

Has your child always wanted to try playing guitar? Instructor Joe Krzyzewski from The Music Cottage will introduce kids in grades 4-8 to the basics of guitar including techniques as well as simple chords! Guitars will be provided.
