 Want to have your most profitable year ever?
Don't lose momentum in the 4th quarter.
Completing just a few more jobs before winter comes can make a good year great.
Here are some tips to boost the last 3 months of the year:
Keep selling. Book work that can be done during the mild winter months. Walk clients' properties to see what tasks need to be completed before year-end. Sell fall services like landscape lighting, drainage, holiday decorating and more.
Stay flexible. Work around inclement weather by encouraging your crews to be flexible. Maximize the good weather days by doing office work and shop work on bad weather days.
Say thanks early. Consider holiday gifts to clients at Halloween or Thanksgiving. The goodwill often leads to additional work or referrals.
Plan ahead. Take advantage of bulk-buying discounts on winter ice melt and pre-order supplies for 2017.
