Volunteer Newsletter
Megan, Amy, and Lindsey volunteer selling raffle tickets at this year's Autumn Gala.
Dear Volunteers,

Happy Halloween! It’s been a beautiful fall, and a lot has been happening. Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Autumn Gala on October 21st. Not only did we have a great time, but thanks to your support we raised over $462,000 in support of our programs!

In September, 40 volunteers from Avanade came to Encompass as part of United Way’s county-wide Day of Caring . You may have seen some of the projects they completed, including painting the door at our pediatric therapy clinic and painting arrows and stop-lines for the drop-off/pick-up zone at our early learning center. Plus, their team beautified our buildings inside and out with the 20 other projects they spent the day working on!

Enjoy a spooky evening,

Spotlight - Baby Corner Pick-up
This past month, we reluctantly said goodbye to Linda and Danny Phipps. Linda has been volunteering with Encompass for over thirteen years and held a very important behind-the-scenes role affecting many of our families. Encompass staff submit orders with Eastside Baby Corner for essential items for the families we serve, and every week Linda would pick them up and deliver the items to staff members to be given to the families.

Every week she faithfully picks up our orders from Issaquah and delivers them to us. At this time of year with program start-ups, back to school and winter season (clothes) there can be an overwhelming amount of orders. I don’t know how I would find time to do this myself and my PCHP families really benefit from this great service .”
-Lynne Creed, Parent Child Home Program Manager

Thank you, Linda and Danny, for the years of service you’ve given
to Encompass and our families!

Can you help? The pick-up time is between 9 and 11 a.m. at Eastside Baby Corner in Issaquah, and you would then deliver the items to our sites in North Bend. Some items can be large, so an SUV or truck makes it easier. If you are available weekly, bi-weekly or even monthly, please let us know! This volunteer role is a huge benefit to Encompass.
