HALLOWEEN IS HAPPENING AT THE LIBRARY!
Halloween is just around the corner, and we're celebrating the season with our annual Halloween Happening on Friday, October 28th from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. Kids can trick-or-treat in the haunted hallway, make a boo-tiful craft, enjoy a spooktacular treat and play some ghoulish games. Costumes welcome, but not required. Show up if you dare!
GAME ON!
Light hearted games, deep strategy, or even cooperative play, there is a game out there for you - even if you have little or no experience with gaming.

Come get your game on at Adult Gaming Night on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 6:00 p.m. We'll provide a small library of games to play including some of our favorites, like Coup, Settlers of Catan, and Forbidden Desert. Feel free to bring your own favorites as well!
LEARN TO USE LIBRARY E-BOOKS
Drop in with your e-reader, computer, tablet, or phone and your questions about using the library's downloadable e-reading resources. We'll help you access e-books through OverDrive, digital magazines through Zinio, and so much more! No experience necessary.

Stop by Saturday, October 15th from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. or Wednesday, October 26th from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

FROM THE FRIENDS

A monthly update from the Friends of Shorewood Public Library

Thank You to Our Friends

National Friends of Libraries Week (October 16-22) is a good time to publicly thank all the Friends of the Shorewood Public Library who contribute time, expertise and membership fees to enhance library services for our patrons.

Your generosity supports programming for all ages, new book and media purchases, and more. Read this month's From the Friends blog post to learn more about how Friends membership supports the library.

As a thank you, we are giving one free item from the Friends' bookshelves to each Friends' member during the month of October! To redeem your gift, choose an item from the book sale and bring it to the circulation desk. The clerk will check off your name from the list of Friends. Anyone joining the Friends during the month of October may also take advantage of this free offer. L earn about joining on the Friends webpage.

We hope you enjoy this small token of appreciation!

Contact the Friends at [email protected] if you are interested in joining or want to learn more about what we do.
