The preschool director, teachers, and the children of Tyner UMC would like to THANK everyone who donated an item from the “ Children’s Wish Tree” ! The children are excited to begin using these items in their classrooms. Your most gracious and continuous support of our Children’s Ministry means so much to us!
The Preschool Lunch Fundraiser was a huge success! A special THANK YOU to the “Men’s Prayer Breakfast” for all of their amazing help! We had many other people who were invaluable: the Preschool Staff & Parents, the Preschool Committee, & the Stewardship Sunday School Class. All of you, and the wonderful support of our TUMC congregation, made our lunch this past Sunday so successful!
SAVE your aluminum SODA CAN TABS to benefit the “Ronald McDonald House in Chattanooga”. Saving these can tabs helps keep families with sick children close to each other and receive the care they need.  TUMC Preschool is collecting soda can tabs until Friday, Oct. 27 th . Please bring can tabs either to the preschool office (leave them in a bag on the table outside the office, if the door is locked) OR the church office (leave them in a bag with the receptionist). Thank you for your help and joining with us in supporting the Ronald McDonald House!
Tyner Preschool has adopted a preschool classroom near Houston that was devastated by Hurricane Harvey.
Many people lost their homes, their belongings, and their lives as a result of. Hurricane Harvey. This storm also flooded schools and destroyed the homes of teachers. Supplies stored at both home and school were lost as a result of this massive flooding.
The Preschool Staff is beyond grateful to have a dry, warm, loving place to teach children, as well as having supplies for them to learn. Our preschool wanted to give this gift to another teacher, who is trying to provide a safe, learning place for her students who are undoubtedly trying to rebuild their lives at home since the devastation from Hurricane Harvey.
HOW THIS WORKS: Our preschool has already been given the name of a teacher who teaches a preschool class in the Houston area. Our preschool representative has been in contact with this teacher to find out what the classroom’s needs are. We will use the money we raise through the special Go Fund Me account, to purchase the needed items through Amazon, and have the purchased items sent directly to the teacher’s school.
TUMC Preschool’s goal is to raise $500 to help this specific classroom so that the children can continue to learn. If you would like to help, please go to gofundme.com/adopthoustonclass.
This website gives you all the information about our project and also how you can donate.  You can also find this information and other activities within the preschool by going to our facebook page under Tyner UMC Preschool.
Psalm 107:8-9 “Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.”
