Featured Workshop Attendee
Our featured attendee from this Fall's workshop is Brenda   from Sioux City, Iowa.  At 25 years of age and a paralegal assistant, jewelry and jackets are her best friends.  These wardrobe additions increase her professional presence.  This jacket (borrowed from my closet for demonstration purposes) provided great guidelines for Brenda when she shopped and purchased her own jacket later that same evening.  The necklace is in proportion to her petite 4' 11" frame.  Jewelry is not good or bad -- it's just "right or wrong" for your body in terms of serving your goals.

Our next 2 day workshop is April 19-20, 2018 here in beautiful San Diego.  Limited to only 6 women --  there are just 3 spots left .  Register today to take advantage of the early bird savings of $200.

Image / Branding

Before and After Logos - Sometimes it's difficult to put our finger on it...but we know immediately when something is "dated."  Your Image, branding and success can often be thwarted by old school and dated logos.  I am big fan of Dental CMO for my dental clients and their practice branding.  CMO's videos are the best I have ever seen. Check them out for yourself -  DentalCMO.com .
Luggage Care
Luggage Gets Really Dirty -  Sometimes I think the dirtiest thing I have in my house is my luggage.  There is no way to protect your luggage from all kinds of exposure to dirt and grime once it leaves your side and is checked onto your plane.  Remember that the wheels of your luggage have traveled in oil and street filth so don't put your luggage up on
your bed or furniture unprotected.  Here are some helpful instructions for cleaning hardcover travel luggage:

TO START - Mix dish-washing liquid in water....
  1. Dip a lint-free cloth in the cleaning solution.
  2. Clean the suitcase with the wet cloth.
  3. Remove any sticky marks with an eraser.
  4. Treat any scratch marks with toothpaste.
  5. Remember to clean the wheels...and give your handles and suitcase surfaces  (inside and out) a wipe with disinfectant cloths.
  6. Wipe and dry the inside with a towel.
Fighting the Signs of Aging
I consciously work on 2 things to combat the signs of aging.  Over 60 years of age, I know that mobility is a key factor in helping me age well.  I work out 4-5 times a week when I am not traveling and much of that time is spent working on keeping my T spine agile and my knees bending.  The other piece I work on (to not look old and sour) is the smile on my face.  We can easily feel like we are smiling - but in terms of how others see us, we can also look both serious and unapproachable.  Bottom line?  The grey might take over our hair color, but we can smile and work on our posture and flexibility to combat the immediate impression that we're no longer relevant.
So What Would That Feel Like?
In my line of work people hire me to give them information - they know that and I know that. What matters most is if I can figure out how they will best receive that information so they can put it into practice. I have recently worked on "turning my statements around" as though someone was saying that sentence to me and then seeing what THAT feels like. Sometimes I go ahead with my original thought, but many times after "turning it around," I rephrase it or don't say it at all. Put yourself in the place of your listener and see what you think.
Social Media

Style Tips On Instagram?  - you bet.  We get our information from so many different sources.  One of my favorite stylists is Omor Okagbare with Nordstrom in Scottsdale, AZ. His recent post of these 4 favorite Fall & Winter shoe selections is spot on.  Shoes are one of the top two common mistake areas that I find men frequently make.  Men's shoes can be a bit on the pricey side it's true, but they tend to last longer and stay in style longer than most shoes for women.  Give it a go, men.  Curious as to the other common mistake area I frequently find with men?  Grooming!
Program Giveaways
I bring many items as "giveaways" when I present my course, How To Look Like A Million...Without Spending It.  Some of the attendee favorites are the scarves and necklaces.  I have started to show my audience how to mix and match textures and patterns when it comes to wearing jewelry and scarves together.  This white necklace would look fabulous inside the opening of a crisp white blouse and the scarf could be folded to lay down the front of the blouse.  Often the more you layer, the more interesting and bold you can make a plain backdrop look.  The key to mixing and matching prints is that they must have contrasting patterns.  This flower pattern is contrasting in size and pattern to the large check scarf you see behind it.
Accessories - Sunglasses

What is your sunglasses style?   One of the more difficult things to purchase can be sunglasses.  It's easy enough to see ourselves as others see us when we look at photographs -- but when we are in the store and looking at a small mirror, it can be more challenging.  A very large round lens can be slimming while a reflective lens will add an additional energy to the overall statement.  These sunglasses have a reflective pink tone to them and go well with skin tones and nail color on the pinker side.  Someone with yellow undertones might chose a darker brown or green reflective lens.
Virtual Coaching
We Just Think We Know What We Look Like - but until we look at ourselves from all sides, we really don't have a clue. I VIRTUALLY COACH clients who want input on existing clothes in their wardrobe or suggestions for new purchases. I request they send me photos of themselves wearing their clothes from all 3 sides. Of course you need some help with photo taking for these but well worth the effort for an efficient coaching experience.

Virtual Coaching is easy to purchase and to schedule. For many clients, this wardrobe evaluation helps them weed out what doesn't flatter them and more importantly understand why a certain style doesn't work and become clear on what works best.
