Happy 2014!
Apparently, just for dramatic effect, I fell ill on Christmas Day. Wound up getting admitted to the hospital through a needed Emergency Room visit. First thought to be pneumonia, ultimately it was determined that I had been hit by a virus-induced cardiomyopathy - Congested Heart Failure. Five days later and nearly 20 lbs of water-weight freer, they let me go home. Recovery will hopefully be complete, but it's going to take some time - like 3-6 months, I'm told.
I was able to reach out to my good friend and former Production Mgr., Tammie Snyder, who has stepped up to help with newsletter design layout, so we can get the publications out. Thank you, Tam!
I am hopeful that this email will remind and help a lot of you to secure your spot for either or both of the East Bay Claims & Sacramento Claims luncheon meetings, both being held next week.
The East Bay Claims Association luncheon meeting is next Wednesday, January 8, 2014, featuring the return of Bill Staples, with Archer Norris, who will present his annual Top Ten Case Law Review Update. Please make your reservations/secure your spot now.
The following day, Thursday, January 9, 2014, is the Sacramento Claims Association first luncheon of the new year. The SCA is pleased to present Mr. Ulises Castellon, of Fire Cause Anaylsis, with "Fire Proofing Your Claim- Don't Get Burned!" Secure your spot here.
Then, the following week, Central Coast Claims, Property Claims Assn of the Pacific, and Mid-Valley Claims will all feature their respective annual kick-offs.
My deepest for all the outpouring of support and love through this difficult personal time. Know that I am confident we will get through this most successfully, and move on into the new year in good health!
