Statement on the Passing of Elder Damien C. Brown
It is with our deepest sympathy that Bishop Glen A. Staples, Pastor Walter L. Staples, Officers, Staff and Members of The Temple of Praise acknowledge the sudden passing of our Minister of Music, Elder Damien C. Brown today.
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. O Lord, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds." Psalm 116: 15-16 (KJV)
An anointed preacher, a gifted psalmist, a loving husband, and a caring father; Elder Damien C. Brown was truly a blessing from the Lord and we thank and praise God for allowing us to bare witness to this phenomenal vessel in the body of Christ. Truly, Elder Brown was a faithful servant unto the Lord and his service to our congregation of believers will be truly missed.
As we mourn the loss of this great man of God, we find comfort in knowing that he lived a life of servitude and that he loved the Lord. "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4 (KJV)
Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Minister-in-Training Andria Brown and daughter, Chyna Brown.
The family of Elder Damien C. Brown wishes to extend their deepest gratitude for the kind acts and love during this time. Please continue to keep the family of Elder Damien C. Brown and the entire Temple of Praise family in your thoughts and prayers.
