Tecumseh Bread & Pastry

Last month, we introduced you to our friends at Tecumseh Bread and Pastry. Because we know you like to be in the know, we wanted to share a little more about their beautiful products -- we all love to know where our food comes from! Also, they are now keeping regular hours, so you really must stop in at their temporary location (while they search for a downtown storefront of their very own) at 3 Dudes, 414 N Evans St, Tecumseh.

Tecumseh Bread & Pastry Hours:
5 am - 10 am on Tuesday and Thursday
5 am - 1 pm on Saturday & Sunday

Tecumseh Bread & Pastry is owned and operated by Alisyn & Arlo Brandl of Tecumseh, Mi. Alisyn was born in Traverse City, Mi and had maintained a culinary background in chocolate and pastry work while enjoying all Lake Michigan has to offer. When she met Arlo who was already deeply involved in bread baking out of wood-fired ovens with organic grains, they had quickly
begun to plan their ideal community bakery. Tecumseh Bread & Pastry focuses on utilizing Michigan grown wheat, rye, spelt and corn from Ferris Organic Farm while milling their own grains for assorted breads and pastries as well. Croissants are laminated by hand daily with unsalted 82% butter, and sourdoughs are left to rise for up to 16 hours. The process and passion to the craft has remained unchanged, and the guiding principle is community oriented with Michigan in mind. Alisyn & Arlo hope to grow as bakers, and members of the community with their involvement in the restaurant & food scene of Lenawee county. Over the course of the next few months, a more expansive product offering will be available, and feedback will have helped them craft quality
products for the town they love & enjoy.

We at Evans Street are very happy to feature their beautiful artisan loaves, brioche buns, crackers, and more! We know you will fall in love with their craftsmanship just as we have!
