State Leadership Conference
Schedule:
The schedule has been finalized. There has been changes made due to conflicts in schedules. Be sure to check your schedules again prior to arriving to conference. Schedules are located in the State conference registration system. Link can be found on the home page.

Event Displays:
This year displays will be set up at the time of competition in the evaluation space. Displays for Chapter in Review Display, Chapter Service Project Display, Fashion Design, Fashion Construction, Recycle and Redesign, and National Programs in Action will be placed in the CDE Display Showcase located in the Bricker Building at the conclusion of their competition. All displays should remain in the showcase until 3:00 P.M. and must be removed by 3:30 PM.

National Qualifier Form:
Each adviser will complete the National Qualifier Form posted on www.ohiofccla.org. Insert all competitions for each chapter and indicate whether they would like to represent Ohio at National Leadership Conference. This form must be turned into the registration desk upon arrival at State Leadership Conference. If the form is not received, the chapter will be disqualified from advancing to Nationals.

The top two entries are considered the National Qualifiers. If a top school is unable to attend Nationals, alternates will be determined in descending order of rank for each category and event. A list of all National Qualifiers will be posted on the Ohio FCCLA website on Monday, May 9th.

State Qualifier Plaques:
Events that had a regional competition will be receiving state qualifier plaques. These plaques will be picked up Thursday at the CDE registration booth located in The Bricker Building from 12:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. Plaques will only be available for pick up at this time. Culinary Event plaques will be distributed at Columbus Culinary.

Voting Delegates:
Each chapter will receive one black lanyard in your registration packet for each voting delegate that your chapter received. The individual designated as a voting delegate are to attend both the Regional Executive Council Elections and the Business Session to cast their vote.

Onsite registration:
There will be onsite registration available at the registration booth for any student or parent who was unable to register. Guest are $10 and Students $25.

Registration Packet Pick-up:
Registration will open at 7 A.M.. in the Celeste Center on April 28, 2016.

Meals of Hope: 
On Thursday April 28, 2016, Ohio FCCLA is hosting a Service Learning Project, Meals of Hope. The goal for this event is to pack 70,000 healthy meals in honor of the Association's 70th anniversary.

Through donations received from FCCLA Chapters and a grant from State Farm Insurance, we have reached our fundraising goal! In order to pack the 70,000 meals in 2 hours, we need over 400 students to participate in this event. Advisers, please register your students to participate in one or both of these sessions, 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. and 10:45-11:45. We have been informed that there will be Ohio Representatives and Senators attending this event. This event will be a great project for students to use with next year's projects.

Onstage Career Development Event Recognition:
Chapters who are being recognized on stage for their Career Development Event participation will be listed on the onstage recognition page. If your students are listed they are to report to their assigned seating area at the appropriate time.

Seating Charts:
All individuals who are receiving recognition on stage have an assigned seat. Seating assignments for each session will be posted on the Ohio FCCLA website. Members who are not in their assigned seat will be unable to receive proper recognition.

Recognition Award Letters:
Recognition letters for groups being recognized on stage are posted. These groups being recognized include Ohio Endowment challenge, Power of One, National Program Recognition, Outstanding Chapter, State Degree, Service Learning and Regional Executive Council. are posted on the state conference tab for all on stage recognition. Please check the list for assigned seating area.

Rubric pick-up
Rubrics will be available to be picked up at the conclusion of the 3rd session at the registration booth. Only advisers are able to pick up scores. No rubrics will be mailed. Regional medals will be included in rubric packets for all events that did not have a regional competition.

A materials list will be sent to those who register.
Lunch will be $12.00. Payment will be collected the day of the event.

CCAD Summer Interior and Fashion Design Professional Development
The Columbus College of Art and Design has developed a track for Family and Consumer Sciences teachers to provide you instruction on interior and fashion design principles that align with the standards.

Date: June 19-24, 2016

8:30 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. Interior Design
Join Interior Faculty to learn about basic methods of teaching and learning Interior Design concepts - from basic design and space planning techniques to the materials and tools used to create design presentations and projects. Hand construction methods, sketching, and digital techniques will be explored.

10:15 A.M. - 11:45 A.M. Re-Work / Re-Use (Interior / Fashion Collaboration)
Join Interior and Fashion Faculty to develop a collaborative mock retail window display. Inspired by growing conversations regarding sustainable design, this project will incorporate innovative thinking and green design methods (re-cycling, up-cycling, etc.) to create beautiful, functional designs using only "found" objects.
