CTE-26 Information
The FY2017 (2016-2017) CTE-26 application is located in the SAFE account.  This year Agricultural and Environmental Systems, Health, Marketing and Education and Training career field programs must submit a Fiscal Year 2017 CTE-26/Program of Study application. In addition, all Family and Consumer Sciences and GRADS programs must renew for FY2017 (2016-2017).

The following timelines govern the process for submitting new CTE-26 program applications or applications for program renewal.
  1. The Family and Consumer Sciences and the Career Based Intervention (CBI) application will not be available until January 1, 2016.
  2. The lead district in the Career-Tech Planning District is responsible for approving or disapproving a program application no later than March 1, 2016.
  3. Submit the approved program application to the Ohio Department of Education by March 15, 2016.  The Ohio Department of Education will review the program application and notify your district of approval or disapproval by May 15, 2016.

eFoodHandlers Basic Food Safety Course
Course Overview

eFoodHandlers Basic Food Safety Course is the core training module for food servers, handlers and preparers. It teaches them key principles to keep food and customers safe. This FDA-based course--2009 Version--includes information on, Cross Contamination, Temperature Control, Personal Hygiene and dozens of other topics food workers and handlers must understand in order to be safe at-home and in the workplace.

FCCLA
Teacher Acknowledgement and Certificate of Compliance Form
This form is required of each adviser to submit annually to Ohio FCCLA.  The document encourages the success of the members in the awards programs including competitive events.  The document may be submitted electronically to OhioFCCLA@education.ohio.gov.   If you have any questions, please contact Kelly Jung at Kelly.jung@education.ohio.gov or Mary Jo Kohl at maryjo.kohl@education.ohio.gov.  You must sign and send this form into our office if you want to register for any of the competitive events this year.
Judges
When registering for competitive events, each chapter needs to submit 3 names of judges and their contact information.   On the registration site you will be able to select 1 to 3 locations to volunteer.   The adviser may be a judge as long as your students are not competing in that event. 

The judges will be contacted by regional and state coordinators to set up specific event and location details. 
Competitive Events Registration
To register for Competitve Events you must use a computer.  The registration site does not work on tablets or IPADS.  If you are experiencing any problems getting into registration change to a different browser. 

Please review the new Regional Structure to make sure you are registering in the right region. 
Ohio FCCLA Endowment Challenge
This year State Executive Council has issued a challenge to all chapters to help support Ohio FCCLA Endowment by donating a minimum of $25.00. The Endowment offers scholarships for FCCLA members, supports Ohio FCCLA state events as well as Regional Competitive Events.  All chapters that meet this challenge will be recognized at State Leadership Conference.
Service Learning Hours
Please make sure members are logging Service Learning hours.  We will be recognizing top individuals and chapters at State Leadership Conference. You can find the link to the portal on Ohio FCCLA under the "Program" tab "Service Learning Tracking Portal".
Get Started on Your Lead2Feed Project!
FCCLA is currently the leading Supporting Association group for Lead2Feed with over 500 chapters registered!
 
Participating in the Lead2Feed program is turnkey and easy to do!  If you're already registered for the program, log in to access lessons, resources, and more in the Members section of Lead2Feed.org . Follow these steps below to submit your project.
 
  1. Complete your profile! Click on the My Profile link on the left hand menu, and fill out steps 1 and 2. Don't forget to click on the SUBMIT button!
  2. Work through the lessons! Take a look through the 10 lesson track or the 6 lesson track and pick the track that is best for you.
  3. Complete your Milestones & Project! Once logged in, visit your dashboard to create your team.  Next to your team name, select the Milestone that you are ready complete and click GO!
  4. Submit Your Project! In your dashboard, click on the ENTER THE CHALLENGE button next to your team's name. If you have submitted the three milestones, you'll see that your answers are already populated in the form.  You can also download a copy of the Project Submission questions to prepare your submission as you complete the lessons.

Regional and State Executive Council Candidates
The Applications and Handbooks for Regional and State Executive Council have been posted on the Ohio FCCLA website.  There will be "Candidate Training" on March 19, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. at the Ohio FFA Center, 717 East 17th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43211.  Registration will open in February.  This is not a mandatory meeting.  Applications are due March 25, 2016.  Please submit to ohiofccla@education.ohio.gov (Title the email Candidate Training).
