Payment is due by April 21, 2017.  Make checks payable to: Ohio FCCLA - 25 S. Front St. MS #611, Columbus, OH 43215.

Conference Registration Policy
  • All outstanding balances must be paid in full prior to registering for State Leadership Conference.
  • Each person attending the conference or any part of the conference must have a conference badge to enter.
  • No refunds will be issued to chapters for State Leadership Conference registration.
New Process this year
Required Online Orientation for all CDE Entries
All CDE participants will be required to complete an online orientation. This orientation will be available April 1, 2017 on the Ohio FCCLA State Leadership Conference Page. This orientation includes an informative video, review questions and a certificate of completion. The certificate of completion must be printed off and turned into the event lead at the time of their competition. Orientation must be completed by April 21, 2017.
Culinary State CDEs
Culinary Competitions:
The following events will take place on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Columbus Culinary Institute: Culinary Team; Creative Cake (both categories); Garde Manger; Pastry Tray and Product Development. All other Culinary related events will take place on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the Bricker Building, Ohio Expo Center. Schedules will be posted two weeks prior to this event.
Culinary Team Menu:
The Culinary Team Menu will be posted March 26, 2017.
Event Check-In
All competitors are to check in at the CDE registration booth 15 minutes prior to their scheduled competition time.
Event Display Pre-setup
On Thursday, April 27, 2017 the following events will be in the Bricker Building. Set-up is between 8:00 A.M. - 8:45 A.M. in the evaluation space. These Displays are Chapter in Review Display, Chapter Service Project Display, Fashion Design, Fashion Construction, Interior Design, National Programs in Action and Recycle and Redesign . All displays must remain in the competition area until 2:30 P.M. and must be removed by 3:30 P.M. Competitors will be evaluated in the display area.
General CDE Information
Submission of CDE Evaluators Name:
Please submit names of evaluators by using the State Competition Evaluator Portal . All Evaluators will be contacted by state staff.

Dress Code:
Conference Dress Code can be located on the Policy Tab on the Ohio FCCLA website. Students attending conference must adhere to the dress code policy during the duration of the conference. CDE participants may change for competition if needed.

CDE Name Changes/Substitutions:
Advisers can complete name changes/substitutions in the registration system. Changes made after the close of the registration system are to be made on the day of the event. Name change forms will be available at the CDE registration desk.
CDE Entry Cancellation:
Entry cancellations can be completed in the registration system by deleting the event. Event cancellations after the close of registration is to be completed using the CDE cancellation link.
Career Development Event Schedule:
The CDE schedule will be posted on April 21, 2017 in the Conference Regisrtation system. All Culinary Events will be posted at ohiofccla.org.  
Onstage Career Development Event Recognition and Seating Assignments:
Competitors who receive a gold rating in their respective Career Development Event will receive on stage recognition. A link will be posted to the Ohio FCCLA website with a list of gold rated ucompetitors at the conclusion of Thursday's competitions. The top two places will be considered a National Qualifier.
Students who receive a gold rating are to report to their assigned seat during the pre-session prior to the recognition session for that CDE. Seating assignments for each session will be posted on the Ohio FCCLA website. Gold rated competitors not in their assigned seat will be unable to receive proper recognition.
Career Development Rubrics Pick-up:
Career Development Event Rubrics will be available for pick up at the registration desk upon the conclusion of closing session. Rubrics not picked up will not be mailed.
Voting Delegate Information:
Each chapter should select voting delegates to participate in the Regional and State Executive Council elections on Thursday, April 27, 2017. Voting delegates must be FCCLA members. Chapter delegate numbers are based on paid affiliation by March 1, 2017. See State Conference tab on the Ohio FCCLA website to determine your chapter's number of delegates.
Teacher Expectations:
Teachers may be asked to serve as a lead for a Career Development Event. Teachers not serving as leads are expected to serve as a judge/lead/assistant lead at State.
SLC Service Project:
Ohio FCCLA needs help collecting items to fill care packages for U.S. military members. The State Executive Council has set the goal of packing over 200 care packages at the 2017 State Leadership Conference! Below are resources that can be used to help with the execution of a successful service project. All items will be dropped off on April 27, 2017.
Available Resources:
National Qualifier
When registering participants for a Career Development Event, advisers will need to indicate if the event participants would attend National Leadership Conference if they place in the top two scores in Ohio. This system will replace the National Qualifier form required in the past.

If one of the top two school is unable to attend Nationals, alternates will be determined in descending order of rank for each category and event. A list of all National Qualifiers will be posted no later than Monday, May 9, 2017 on the Ohio FCCLA website on.
Recognition Award Letters
The following recipients will be posted by April 3, 2017: Power of One, National Program Recognition, State Project Recognition, Outstanding Chapter, Service Learning Portal and 2016-17 Regional Executive Council.
