National Qualifiers
A list of all National Qualifiers will be posted on May 9, 2016. The list will include all schools that are advancing due to the denial of attendance to National Leadership Conference by the 1st or 2nd place teams. Your school will not be contact directly. Be sure to check the list to see if you maybe an alternate for National Leadership Conference.
National Leadership Conference Registration
Ohio has an extension on Early Bird Registration until May 18, 2016. All names of National Qualifiers will be entered into the system by Tuesday May 10, 2016. At that time you will be able to register for Star Events. 
Ohio Package
There will be no Ohio Package this year for National Leadership Conference.

  • Basic sewing techniques

Lunch is $12.00. Payment will be collected the day of the event.

CCAD Summer Interior and Fashion Design Professional Development
The Columbus College of Art and Design has developed a track for Family and Consumer Sciences teachers to provide you instruction on interior and fashion design principles that align with the standards.

Date: June 19-24, 2016
Registration Fee: Commuter- $150
Resident- $275- Includes Meals and Overnight Accommodations

8:30 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. Interior Design
Join Interior Faculty to learn about basic methods of teaching and learning Interior Design concepts - from basic design and space planning techniques to the materials and tools used to create designed presentations and projects. Hand construction methods, sketching, and digital techniques will be explored.

10:15 A.M. - 11:45 A.M. Re-Work / Re-Use (Interior/Fashion Collaboration)
Join Interior and Fashion Faculty to develop a collaborative mock retail window display. Inspired by growing conversations regarding sustainable design, this project will incorporate innovative thinking and green design methods (re-cycling, up-cycling, etc.) to create beautiful, functional designs using only "found" objects.

11:45 A.M. - 12:45 P.M. (LUNCH BREAK)

1:45 P.M. - 3:15 P.M. Fashion Design
Join Fashion Faculty to learn about basic methods of teaching and learning Fashion Design concepts - from mood ideation and design techniques to the materials and tools used to create design presentations and projects. Basic construction methods, sketching, and digital techniques will be explored.
FCCLA at The Ohio State Fair
Ohio FCCLA will have a booth again this year at the Ohio State Fair. The booth will require 4 to 5 students and an adviser to attend and man the booth for a 4-5 hour shift. The fair runs from July 27, 2016 through August 7, 2016. This year we will completing Service Learning Projects at our booth. All members and advisers who attend will receive free admission to the fair and a meal ticket. Complete the following form to submit your chapter's availability. Meals of Hope
We would like to thank State Farm for their sponsorship through a grant provided by the Youth Advisory Board. State Farm Agents Meghan Humphreys; Andrea Taylor; Doug Yglesias; Theresa Bush; Rich Courter, Renee Starr; Odis Parker, and SF Youth Advisory Board member Jordan Moesley spent Thursday morning working side by side with chapter members. Special guests for this event was Representative David Leland and aide from the Office of Representative Heather Bishoff.   



Congratulations to all chapters who donated money for the Meals of Hope campaign. We were able to meet our goal of packing 70,000.
Alumni & Associates
Ohio FCCLA Alumni & Associates will offer Adviser Grants open to any adviser attending NLC (2016 San Diego) with national competitors. Advisors that are unable to secure little or no financial assistance from their school districts may apply. Please note the application deadline has changed to May 13, 2016.
