This Week at Your Library: October 9

Dear Library Member,

It's time for another Second Saturday performance! Join us on  Saturday at 2:30 pm , as we welcome members of Matawan's Spotlight Players for  A Celtic Experience , an afternoon of traditional and contemporary songs from the Celtic nations. They'll be celebrating all things Celtic, from bagpipes and fiddles to lads, lassies, kilts and jigs. It will be a lively afternoon!  Derived from stories passed down from generation to generation, the music is folklore and poetry sung for entertainment. It  refers to a bro ad grouping of music genres that evolved out of the folk music traditions of the Celtic people of Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

As usual, we ask attendees to bring a non-perishable donation for the Old Bridge Food Pantry to this free performance. It promises to be a memorable event!

Girl Scout Troop 81297 presented a wonderful new bookcase for our Idea Farm books!  Troop members include: Victoria Percoco, Nia Ovalle, Isabella Niedzwiecki and Kaitlyn Ramsden.  Many thanks!

Have a spectacular week. Hope to see you in the Library.
