This Week at Your Library: March 13

Launchpads for Adults are Here!

Dear Library Member,

Last year, the Library introduced Playaway Launchpads, pre-loaded learning tablets for children that have been extremely popular. We are now pleased to offer Launchpads for adults, each one featuring different subject matter. These tablets are available for one-week loans, in topics ranging from English as a Second Language (ESL), to grammar, mind and brain games and crossword puzzles. These portable units are educational, entertaining and convenient for lives on the go! Patrons must have an Old Bridge Library card in good standing to borrow them. Be sure to stop by to see what is available!

Here's an update on our Storybook March Madness Children's book program. Each week, our young patrons can come in to vote for their favorite children's books in each bracket to advance their favorites. The top two will face off in the final week to determine the ultimate winner. We started with 16 different titles on March 1st. Now, in week 2, we are down to eight books, including Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Diary of a Wimpy Kid Double Down, Middle School Jacky and Tales from the Haunted Mansion. The voting will continue throughout the month until a winner is chosen. Please encourage your children to come in and vote!

Hope to see you in the Library. Have a spectacular week!

This book forest was constructed of fallen trees and installed in Berlin, Germany in 2006. It was initially intended to be removed in 2008, but proved so popular, that it has remained. People are free to take and leave books, just like in a Little Free Library.
