This Week at Your Library: September 11

Dear Library Member ,

September is National Library Card Sign-up Month and a great opportunity to remind everyone how valuable your library card truly is.  Your card provides free "tuition" to numerous online learning resources, such as Tutor.com , Lynda.com and Rosetta Stone , and free "tickets" to movies, concerts and music with Kanopy , Hoopla and Qello Concerts . Your card also gives you entrance to free robotics, 3D printing and soldering classes at our Idea Farm Makerspace and free admission to eight area museums, including the Grounds for Sculpture, the Intrepid and Insectropolis. Use this handy Library Value Calculator to calculate the dollar value in savings your card offers you each year. This is a good opportunity to encourage friends and family to sign up for cards so they too can benefit from your Library's many resources and programs.

Hurricane season has begun with terrible destruction.  In answer to many inquiries, here is some information about a few specific organizations that are accepting donations to aid our fellow Americans affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Please click here for more details.

Very importantly, we mark another anniversary of September 11th.  Let us all take time to reflect on that horrific day.  A memorial service will take place on September 11th at the September 11th memorial site at 6 pm.  The site is located behind the Library in the Municipal Complex off of Cottrell Road and Route 516.

Have a spectacular week. Hope to see you in the Library.
