Take your mom out to the Charleston Greek Festival for Mother's Day and enjoy live music and dancing and traditional Greek foods like gyros, spanakopita and baklava.
This nautical weekend has something for everyone. Kids of all ages won't want to miss the Tall Ships Parade. There will be activities throughout the weekend: explore on board these amazing boats and even go for a ride, enjoy food, music, a maritime art exhibit, vendors, a wooden boat show and more!
Head out to the Center for Birds of Prey to catch sight of rare birds during their seasonal visit. This 2 hour guided tour with an experienced staff member is a must for all bird lovers. Afterwards, stay for a flight demonstration.
Each May the Holy City comes alive during this premier performing arts festival. Charleston's churches, theaters, and courtyards host performances by renowned artists as well as emerging performers across the genres of opera; theater; dance; and chamber, symphonic, choral, and jazz music.
The smaller, sister festival to Spoleto, Piccolo focuses on Southeastern artists and includes visual arts exhibits, classical music, jazz, dance, theatre, poetry readings, children's activities, choral music, ethnic cultural presentations, crafts and film.
