Special events: No. 209 Gin free tastings and Abita To-Gose tapping
|
Mark your calendars now for Olive or Twist's upcoming events:
No. 209 Gin:
Named for a stone-and-brick distillery built on the Edge Hill Estate in Napa Valley, No. 209 Gin is distilled in a converted 1920s warehouse on Pier 50 in San Francisco, and is the only distillery located completely over sea water. The natural cooling properties of 13 feet in San Francisco Bay water beneath the pier keeps the air temperature in the distillery perfect for distilling year round, while the high ceilings accommodate the 25-foot-high still. Join us from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21 for our next free tasting, featuring No. 209 Gin, including its Chardonnay Barrel Reserve Gin and its Sauvignon Blanc Barrel Reserve Gin. Enjoy samples of these spirits or in specially-made cocktails.
Abita To-Gose: In New Orleans, to-go cups mean the fun (and the beer) doesn't always have to stay inside the bar. To-Gose is Abita's refreshing take on a traditional Gose beer -- a slightly salty, sour beer. Brewed with malted wheat and barley and German Perle Hops, fresh key lime are added during aging to create this sour ale with hints of lime, coriander and sea salt. Join us at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 22 for the unveiling of this new beer from Abita Brewing Company.
And don't forget that "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" is coming in September 2017, and they're bringing "Statesman" with them. What is Statesman? Follow us on Facebook and Twitter, and receive our weekly email newsletter to learn more!
