On September 3, 2011, OmniPeace Foundation and The New York Giants sent two convoy trucks into Southern Somalia with the Global Enrichment Foundation. The mission was a success! Thousands of people lined up in order to receive enough food and supplies to walk for two weeks to Kenya where they would be safe. Over 5,000 families severely affected by the famine were fed. The most vulnerable took priority: women, children and the elderly.

The trucks held enough food for approximately 7,000 people for the two week trek. Each family got a basket of the following: 5 kilograms of flour, 5 kilograms of sugar, 5 kilograms of rice, 5 kilograms of vitamin enriched porridge and 5 kilograms of oil. Not only did both convoys feed over 5,000 families, but OmniPeace clothed over 300 men, women and children with OmniPeace t-shirts.
