Intergenerational Shabbat

7:15 p.m. Forty-five minute Shabbat service
Cost: $5 per adult , children under 13 free

OUR FOOD PANTRY IS RUNNING LOW
We are in need of donations to our  Food Pantry.
All donations are gratefully accepted. 
Canned protein is especially needed:
tuna, sardines, chicken, Spam.
I would like to thank our group of volunteers who stock the shelves and check the dates to make sure that the pantry is current.

Adult Hebrew Class
When: Wednesdays, 7:00 - 7:50 p.m. -

Introduction to Judaism Class
When:  Wednesdays, 8:00 - 9:15 p.m.
Following the Adult Hebrew Class
Instructor: Marilyn Greenspan
Cost: $360, includes all class materials
The goal of this class is to empower seekers to discover Judaism.   Participants include couples and singles, Jews and those from various faith backgrounds.To register call 766-4300 or email srosenberg@centralsy.org

Adult B'nai Mitzvah Program
When: Classes begin January, Jan. 17, 8:00 - 9:15 p.m. - 1/17, 31 , 2/14, 3/7, 28, 4/8, 25, 5/9, 23, 6/6, 20 27.
This program is only open to members of Central Synagogue - Beth Emeth.  This is a two year commitment to explore your own Jewish identity with a small group of adults.  The cost is $613 - payment can be made in two installments or in full and should be sent to the Temple office.  Register here .  Adult Hebrew will be offered on Wednesdays (see above) for those who wish to brush up on their Hebrew reading skills.

Book Launch Brunch
When: Saturday, January 20
Following  Shabbat Worship with Torah Study.  After nearly two years of research and hard work, Dr. Richard Skolnik has completed his book entitled Covenant and Community - Central Synagogue at 80. The book is a tribute to our history in celebration of our futur e.  Join us for  Shabbat worship where Richard will be called to the Torah.  Reception to follow.  Signed copies of the book will be available.  RSVP by Thursday, January 18 to Edie Tishler at 766-4300 or etishler@centralsy.org
 Brooklyn Boy's Tale of Post-War Jewish America
