Many Centennial Trail users between the state line and Mirabeau Trailhead recognized Del Flory on his red mountain bike.  His near-daily 20 mile rides as a SCOPE volunteer ensured a watchful eye  between February 10, 1989, and September 14, 2015.  Del rode 108,000 Centennial Trail miles over 26 years; his last ride on his 91st birthday.  Del don ated

his well-loved bike to Spokane Bike Swap & Expo in April.  It was displayed near the STA bus so many guests could see it.
We will honor Del's bike every year at Bike Swap as a reminder of his love for and dedication to the Centennial Trail.  Thank you, Del!

Warm weather means it's construction season and your Centennial Trail has several important projects planned this year:

Mile 18.5 at Upriver Drive & Rebecca, just east of Greene Street:  Combined Sewer Overflow Tank project underway.
Mile 20 at Mission Avenue:  New pedestrian crossing between Mission Park and Avista Headquarters in September.  We have contributed $18,500 in matching funds to this project!
Upgrades coming soon on Mission Avenue!

Mile 22.5-23:  Riverfront Park:  Renovations through 2019; Centennial Trail detoured between the Spokane Convention Center and Kendall Yards.  Detour signs and map coming soon from City of Spokane Parks & Recreation.  Stay tuned!

Our Centennial Trail Coordinating Council is evaluating the impact floodwaters made early this spring.  Watch for repairs this summer, along with the completion of the Trail Maintenance Project, which will invest $350,000 in repairs.

For the Centennial Trail, Earth Day is marked by a clean sweep.  Nearly 300 volunteers rally around adopted miles to pick up litter, pull weeds and spruce things up.  Thanks to our

The sixth annual Spokane Bike Swap & Expo was held Saturday, April 8.  We welcomed 2,400 attendees, 63 exhibitors and 140 volunteers.  828 bikes were consigned for sale to the public and 626 were
