Introducing the Talent Attraction Program!

We have some exciting news to share.

Over the past quarter, TCP and the Branson Chamber have been hard at work putting together a s ustainable, fully-dedicated Talent Attraction Program to develop new and maximize existing talent pipelines from Puerto Rico and to maintain and grow the existing J-1 Summer Work & Travel Program to meet the full-time, seasonal employment demand in the Tri-Lakes Area. This will add to the workforce initiatives that are ongoing within our local community.

The long-term focus of the program is to secure a sustainable pipeline to fill 1,000+ job vacancies over the initial 3 years of the program and through other workforce development efforts. Through this program, we hope to increase the number of qualified talent moving to the market and identify solutions to challenges, including quality and affordable housing, transportation and community resources.

The Branson Chamber is collaborating with Cultural Exchange Network (CENET) to hire an additional staff person fully dedicated to program objectives. The staff person will work part-time on J-1 activities and development through a partnership with CENET, and part-time to support our ongoing workforce development initiatives. We are looking forward to introducing this new staff person to you at our next Workforce Collaborative meeting on July 11!

We are excited for this new development as we continue to move forward in our talent attraction, development and retention efforts. CLICK HERE to view the whitepaper for the program.
