We are now officially ONE MONTH from race day! September saw another record registration number and final preparations for our event are in high gear. The 2012 Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, Half Marathon, 5k and Kids Fun Run are sure to make for a memorable and Monumental weekend. As we've stated before, we want you to have a "Monumental Experience" in 2012. To make our fifth anniversary event even more memorable we have redesigned our finishers' medals. We previewed our marathon medal yesterday on Facebook and Twitter. Continue to follow us on Facebook and Twitter as we will release a sneak peak of our half marathon and 5k medals in the following weeks, in addition to other surprise reveals.

 Reserve Your Seat for the Pasta Dinner
The reservations for the Pasta Dinner are coming in quickly and we don't want you to miss a chance to hear our Pasta Dinner featured speaker, three time Olympian, Nick Willis.
The Pasta Dinner will take place on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 6:00PM, at The Westin (50 South Capitol Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46204). Please Click Here to sign up for the pasta dinner.
Our Pasta Dinner featured speaker, Nick Willis, is a three time Olympian and the 2008 Olympic Silver Medalist in the 1500. In 2012 Nick broke his own New Zealand national record for 1500 meters and qualified for Olympic final in London. Nick is known worldwide as a humanitarian and was recognized as the flag bearer for his home country during the opening ceremonies in London.

We are happy to announce the age group awards for the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, Half Marathon and 5k.
MARATHON AGE DIVISIONS
Male & Female
18-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 &Over.
The top three in each division will receive a 20 ounce Brew Glass with the Monumental Marathon logo and a gift certificate from Blue Mile. The gift certificate amounts are as follow:
1st - $25.00
2nd - $20.00
3rd - $15.00
HALF MARATHON AGE DIVISIONS
Male & Female
12-15, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over.
The top three in each division will receive a 20 ounce Brew Glass with the Monumental Half Marathon logo and a gift certificate from Blue Mile. The gift certificate amounts are as follow:
1st - $25.00

5K AGE DIVISIONS
Male & Female
11 & under, 12-15, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over.
The top three in each division will receive a 16 ounce Glass with the Monumental 5k logo. The winner in each age division will receive a $15.00 gift certificate from Blue Mile.

Commemorative Poster - Register by October 12

Our commemorative poster returns for the third consecutive year. The 2012 Indianapolis Monumental Marathon poster, similar to the 2011 poster pictured above, will feature an Indianapolis Monument and will have the name of every participant who is REGISTERED by October 12th. This one of a kind collectible is FREE at packet pick-up.
Register for the marathon, half marathon or 5k by Friday, October 12 to be a part of Monumental history and have your name listed on the IMM 5th Anniversary poster.
