This October, Teatro Visión returns to the stage with a new work that has been years in the making. Our World Premiere adaptation of the classic Mexican novel and film MACARIO
will be a spectacle of live theater, music, and dance for the entire family.
A poor woodcutter, whose sole dream in life is to experience one day without hunger, is caught at a crossroads deciding whom to share a precious meal with when some unexpected visitors show up. A tale of cleverness and wit, MACARIO will have you on the edge of your seat.
Written by the mysterious B. Traven, MACARIO was made into a film in the 1960s, winning international awards at Edinburgh and Cannes, and an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Film. Teatro Visión's MACARIO will be in Spanish with English supertitles. Click here to learn more about this exciting production.
We invite you to experience MACARIO at the School of Arts & Culture at Mexican Heritage Plaza from October 10-20, 2013. Tickets can be purchased online through Brown Paper Tickets.
Thank you for supporting Teatro Visión. We hope to see you at the theater!
