Hiker Gift Ideas: Online Auction

Looking for gift ideas for the hiker in your life? Find them in the Hike NS  Hiking for the Holidays Online Auction . Shop once and give twice: once to your loved ones and once to Hike NS. Do your holiday shopping online with us and spend more time hiking, less time in the stores. From big gifts to stocking stuffers, we've got presents that hikers will love. Special thanks to  The Trail Shop  for donating most of the items in the auction! Bidding opened Nov. 26 and ends on Dec. 11.
 
Call for Guided Snowshoe Hikes

Once again, Hike NS invites groups across NS to partner with it on delivering winter guided snowshoe hikes in January, February and March of 2017. Hike NS will help promote events, provide a how-to guide and provide trail prizes to giveaway.  If you and your local municipality or organization can organize a snowshoe hike,  please register your event here  by  December 21, 2016.
Fall Hikes Featured Trail Beauty

Hike NS and 29 host organizations across the province partnered up to offer the 2016 Fall Guided Hike Series, including the Halifax October Trails Challenge. An estimated 580 people came out to 30 hikes across NS led by local folks. Participants qualified to win "trail prizes." Hike NS thanks its partners for organizing the hikes on the ground, Goose Lane Editions, Halifax Parks and Recreation and the NS Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage.

Wards Falls is a very common trail that hikers around these parts bring up as they discuss their most favorite hikes.
