In This Month’s CVJ
Look for two articles on pages 601 a nd 607 of the June 2017 issue of The CVJ titled,  "Bovine astrovirus infection in feedlot cattle with neurological disease in western Canada" and "Identification of bovine astrovirus in cases of bovine non-suppurative encephalitis in eastern Canada."

Two outstanding articles on association of a novel bovine astrovirus with neurological disease appear in this issue. These studies indicate that this virus, which has high identity with neurotropic US and Swiss bovine astroviruses, may be a major cause of encephalitis in cattle in Canada.
