CHBA CEO Speaks to Senate Committee About Low-Carbon Economy
Earlier this month,
CHBA CEO Kevin Lee testified before the Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources as part of its study on the effects of transitioning to a low carbon economy.
Kevin's remarks focused on ensuring that improving energy efficiency and addressing climate change doesn't come at the cost of reduced housing affordability.
Ontario Building Partnership to Boost Consumer Confidence
The Ontario Building Officials Association, Tarion Warranty Corporation, and EnerQuality's parent organization the Ontario Home Builders' Association have announced they will be forming the Ontario Building Partnership.
The agreement aims to increase consumer protection for new home buyers, improve industry standards and achieve greater consistency in education and application of standards in Ontario's home building industry.
