Proverbs 10:19 (KJV)
19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
Proverbs 13:3 (KJV)
3 He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.
In an interesting side bar, the wisest man that ever lived on planet Earth spoke on LIPS!!
Jesus' brother, the Apostle James, used this description of the TONGUE/LIPS:
James 3:5-6 (KJV)
5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
James went on the say:
James 3:9-10 (KJV)
9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
Have you ever been told "OPEN MOUTH/INSERT FOOT!!!" SMILE!!
I read something this past week they spoke volumes to me!
The story went like this:
A young wife went to a marriage counselor seeking wisdom on how to prevent the frequent arguments she encountered with her husband.
The wise counselor advised her to take a mouthful of water and swish it around in her mouth every time he said an unkind remark or attempted to start a fight.
Although she was puzzled by the advise, she did so and returned a few weeks later.
She was ecstatic!!! Her problem was solved!!
The problem was not with her husband (OR WIFE-Vice-Versus!)!!!!
The problem was her/his reply/retort!!!!
AMEN!!??
Proverbs 4:23 (KJV)
23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

KEEP THEY HEART WITH ALL DILIGENCE!"
Hmmmmm!!?? Didn't Jesus say something about "FOR OUT OF THE ABUNDANCE OF THE HEART....................................??????

Yes, I too well know how hard it is to keep one's mouth/LIPS shut!!!!
